Four people, one studio, no account managers.

Marchside started in 2019 as a way for two friends to stop freelancing separately and start turning down the projects neither of them wanted. It's grown slowly since — by referral, mostly.

How we work

Every project gets the same two people from first call to handoff — no rotating cast, no account layer. We keep a small client list on purpose: usually three engagements at a time, sometimes fewer.

Most work starts with research and a rough prototype before anything gets called a spec. We'd rather be wrong early and cheaply than right late and expensively.

Who we are

Marchside is Alex Wren (product & interaction design) and Priya Nathan (engineering), with Sam Okafor and Ines Bauer joining on most engagements for front-end and research respectively. Based in London, working with clients mostly in the UK and Northern Europe.

Not for us

Pure branding work, anything that starts with "we need an app for everything," and retainers with no defined scope. We'll say so early if it's not a fit.
